Pyramid of Arts is a group of around 100 people, with and without disabilities, who work together to explore and develop their creativity, and to make great quality art for a wide public. Pyramid is a growing organisation which has been working in Leeds for 25 years.
As Project Coordinator, I administrate and coordinate the groups and their associated projects, working with an established team of freelance artists. I liaise with members, their carers and families to make sure that members get the most positive experience possible from their involvement in Pyramid of Arts. I continuously monitor, evaluate and report on the project with regards to its intended outcomes.

Mindy has been involved in the last two Love Arts festivals, first coming on board as a volunteer and this year she’s developed a fantastic network and has her own photography exhibition as part of the festival. Mindy is incredibly committed and a fantastic example of how hard work and perseverance can pay off.

Get Started Project. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund for 3-years, Get Started is a multi-media arts project, across multiple independent living residences in Leeds, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, and mental health issues. My role is to professionally document the sessions for use in marketing, funding applications, exhibitions and for service users.

The overall aim of Kirkstall Art Trail is to highlight, showcase and support the local creative community by helping to build networks, individual skills and confidence in the visual arts. My main role is to maintain the website, updating content and publishing blog posts. I also assist with coordinating volunteers, helping to deliver induction and orientation. My role also takes me into schools to co facilitate workshops for primary school age children. As a committee member I regularly attend meetings and help decide on all aspects of organising the festival.

Time To Change is a campaign that aims to raise awareness about Mental Health illness and eradicate the myths that perpetuate and remove stigma and discrimination. As well as direct engagement with the public, I also have strong social media skills. I maintained the website for the campaign, as well as contributing articles and images to it.
Digital Processor at The Pop-Up Booth

The Pop-Up Booth is a bespoke Photobooth, presented studio style, with a personal touch. We have a range of props and backdrops, creating an experience for the customers that they will remember.
I also take the Pop-Up Booth to Leep the Bridge every month. Leep the Bridge is a club night for people with a learning disability. It is a run by Leep 1 and The Bridge, which are both people centred services, offering a range of activities tailored to people’s interests.

Instrumental is Inkwell’s monthly acoustic night. It runs the first Friday of every month and is presented by Cloth Cat and Arts & Minds. A diverse range of local acts play at every gig and audiences can enjoy the finest real ale from award winning Ridgeside Brewery alongside the music. We also raise money for arts and mental health projects at the same time! I am official photographer (alongside Mat Dale).

Me Time – Mencap’s Me Time service empowers people to enjoy a variety of meaningful activities in their community. Individuals are supported to develop new skills and to achieve their goals and aspirations.
In this role, I marketed the course, recruited individuals, wrote the sessions plans, delivered sessions, managed monitoring and enrolment.
